This a brand new art party offering that I am all a thrill about! I’m hosting Golden Hour Art Party at sunset in the River Arts District of Asheville. I want to share with you my love for all things art kit and stroll around the neighborhood with you making stops to record the moments through art making, connect with one another, and feel the magic of Golden Hour in the River Arts District. As you know, the RAD experienced terrible devastation during Hurricane Helene in September 2024. Now 6 months later clean-up and rebuilding are still very much underway and many small businesses and artists are depending on our continued support to thrive.
I believe our Golden Hour Art Party will be one gateway to support this wonderful creative community who’s art and offerings are an essential part of why Asheville is what it is!

The Juicy Details: We will meet at 5pm at Studio 141 in the Hatchery Studios and I will welcome you with a buffet of art materials to create your own art kit in your chosen vintage gold purse. Some examples of the art materials that you will have to choose from are watercolor paints, paint brushes, mini sketchbooks, markers, collage materials, and many surprise elements. You are welcome to bring snacks and drinks for this portion of our gathering. After we have leisurely composed our art kits we will make our first stop right next door at delicious Baby Bull where we can order drinks and snacks and make art with our art kits. Then we will embark on a short walk uphill to a lovely place called Anoche and there we will sit and enjoy making art with our art kits and indulging scrumptious libations with our Golden Hour crew….interlude: a possible stop + shop at marvelous Jeffrey Burroughs on the way to… our third and final stop of the evening will be at fabulous after/glow, located on the main floor The Radical Hotel and just above amazing Golden Hour, the restaurant where I am giving away a $50 gift card to one lucky winner who comes with me to Golden Hour Art Party!
What to bring:
- good walking shoes
- a light snack or drink to have in the studio before our Golden Hour Art Party journey
- a willingness to get curious and creative with fun art materials and new friends and enjoy a good time in the River Arts District!
What to to plan for:
- a welcoming, no judgement, intimate (only 7 out of 10 spaces available) atmosphere and no experience needed art party
- a short walk in a loop around the River Arts district stopping at 3 or 4 spots to make art and have drinks and snacks
- a jolly good Golden Hour time
