Looking for a Job!

Dear friends near + far, I am looking for a job!

Over the past year I have had the immense pleasure of art partying all over town with you and had been building up an autumn and holiday schedule that like with many local artists, has been derailed by hurricane Helene. I intend to continue art partying with you as often as possible and my ultimate dream is to have a steady income hosting art parties and art activities for community, and selling my original art far and wide, in addition to one day hosting folks at home for a variety of creative entertainment and seasonal gatherings. So if you know of folks who want to host art parties or have a desire to collect, display, or sell my art, please do let me know! Also I am into traveling to make art. Want to host a weekend or week long art retreat? I’m your gal!

Here is a link to my website where you can purchase original art and tickets to upcoming art parties.

For now though, I’m looking forward to exploring full or part-time ways I can bring money into our household which I will need to do in the coming months to be able to maintain offering my art and art parties as well as alleviate my dear husband, Georg, from being the sole provider. My first thought is to reach out to my beloved community and share the creative skills I have to pay the bills:

Organizing: clearing, sorting, labeling, storing items in spaces such as clothing closets, bookshelves, food pantries

Setting the Scene: art parties, table-scapes, photo shoot backdrops, shop windows, flower arranging, menu boards, holiday decorations, event signs, creating cozy vignettes with your stuff…you name it and lets discuss!

Personal Shopping: vintage clothing + decor, party supplies, art supplies, gift baskets with locally curated goods, airbnb welcome baskets, party favors
Home + Pet Sitting: I’ll hang out with your cats + dogs, water your plants, take in your mail, sign for deliveries, take the trash to the curb, wave to your neighbors, and pick-up groceries and stock your kitchen before you return home!

Behind the Artsy Scenes: I have a lot of experience in the retail world too, from toy sales, to home decor sales, to fancy to event set-up, maintenance, and breakdown including unpacking, organizing, and displaying merchandise or artwork, maintaining tidy area during hours of event operation, packing up, and cleaning after event.

Artist Assistance: cleaning studio, organizing of art supplies, packing orders, delivering orders, modeling your wares (!), assisting with events

Hostess with the Mostest: As some of you know, I have a history of jobs working in the restaurant and hotel business, from switchboard operator, to dishwasher, to housekeeper, to turndown server, to bartender, to bus person, to host, to server, to floor manager, even pasta maker! Although I am not in the position to work long evening hours anymore, I can see myself working again, behind the scenes as a person who sets up and breaks down for events, makes things pretty for guests, and perhaps welcomes guests. Planning a party? If you have ever been to one of my events you know how I like to woo guests with beautiful and welcoming spaces that lend to both relaxation and celebration!

Last But Certainly Not Least: I’m open to painting commissions as of now. In addition to the original pieces I already have for sale, I am open to discussing your art collector dreams and making those dreams come true for you. I am available for in person and zoom studio visits and will be positing more about this fabulous opportunity to collaborate with payment plans to fit your lifestyle!

I am so grateful to all of you for considering how I may be an asset to your business, projects, or daily life. I have butterflies in my stomach thinking about all the ways we can creatively work together and I am excited to see what happens! Feel free to share with your network of friends too. Thank you!
